The role:
epic is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Budgeting and Reporting Analyst to support the team with the daily work of budget control, reporting, and analysis by providing timely data and reports, monthly analysis, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate would be working as part of a dynamic team and will need to both assist on the on-time and accurate delivery of standarised reports and budgets, as well as be able to apply business insight and analytical skills in responding to various ad-hoc requirements.
Reporting:
Ø Assist in financial research, analysis and reporting as listed below (the list is not exhaustive):
§ Monthly Operational Reports
§ Divisional Reports
§ Group Reports
§ ABC Reporting
§ Annual Regulatory Reporting
§ Ad-hoc Reports and analysis
Ø Providing evidence of evaluation of current practices, proposing new procedures to improve financial management practices and continually evaluating and reviewing policies and practices that affect the budgeting and reporting cycle.
Budgeting:
Ø Assisting during the following stages of the budget cycle:
§ Distribution of individual budgets
§ Assisting in the preparation of individual budgets
§ Consolidation of individual budgets
§ Budget monitoring and evaluation
Decision Support:
Ø Assist in assessing implications of products, prices and other proposed business strategies by conducting studies, cost to benefit evaluations, revenue / expense analysis and projections that will assist senior management in formulating strategic decisions
Ø Liaise and maintain communication with other departments to facilitate the achievement of financial objectives
Ø Building and maintaining information and reporting systems. Assisting in developing and implementing principles, strategies and procedures and recommendations which support effective information management and information sharing
Ø Identify risks to information management processes and provide risk mitigation advice
Experience/Knowledge:
Ø Degree in Finance/Accounting or other Business related field;
Ø Postgraduate degree will be considered as an advantage
Ø At least 2 year of relevant experience (preferably as a business analyst or a corporate finance consultant)
Ø Strong Analytical Skills
Ø Advanced Powerpoint and Excel Modeling skills (able to work with large data sets)
Ø Business awareness
Ø Advanced English language
