Job Description

JOB TITLE: Sales Assistant 

REPORT TO: Sales Supervisor or Team Leaders 

JOB PURPOSE: Provide excellent customer service, aiming at reaching sales goals and store profitability. 

1. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

Effective Customer Service and Sales 

§ Provide excellent customer service at all selling points (sales floor, fitting rooms, kiosks, cash desks etc.). 

§ Maintain excellent knowledge of all products and be well informed about all offers and promotions. 

§ Promote additional sales by upselling, cross-selling, as well as additional services, e.g. clothing repair. 

§ Be well informed of daily sales goals and contribute to their achievement. 

§ Effective handling of customer complaints. 

§ Effective communication with supervisors and store management team 

§ Excellent knowledge of cash machine operation. 

§ Promote the company’s customer loyalty scheme 

Visual standards and store image 

§ Maintain high visual standards according to company guidelines and retail standards 

§ Maintain full availability of products and on time replenishment 

§ Ensure tickets and security alarms are attached on products properly and items are sorted by size. 

§ Keep the store clean and tidy 

Compliance with company rules and regulations 

§ Understand and comply with all Company procedures and all Health and Safety rules for customers and products. 

§ Follow Company rules i.e. dress code, timetable. 

§ Perform any other duties that may be assigned, pertinent to the role. 

§ Cooperate with company management to reduce thefts in the store. 

2. MAIN SUCCESS FACTORS 

· Achievement of sales goals 

· Achievement of additional sales (cross selling, link-selling) 

· Results of Mystery Shopper (customer service, store image, replenishment) 

· Effective use of cash machine 

· Number of customer complaints 

· Reduction of thefts in the store 

3. INDIVIDUAL SPECIFICATIONS 

· Personal characteristics: 

o Passion for customer service, passion for fashion 

o Ability to learn quickly 

o Extrovert, pleasant personality 

· Education: 

o Good knowledge of Greek and English language (especially speaking and understanding). 

o Knowledge of any other language is considered an advantage 

o Basic knowledge of arithmetic 

o Computer literate 

· Previous experience: 

o Previous experience in a customer service position and cash machine handling is desirable.
