Our client is a Global Shipping Services Company and they are looking to hire a Purchasing Officer to join their team based in Limassol.
Responsibilities
Receives requisitions from vessels obtaining quotations and negotiating best possible price, transportation
Arranges dispatch of supplies accordingly
Monitors and ensures that goods are delivered timely
Checks, monitors and follows-up outstanding orders regularly
Updates the purchasing software system accordingly (from requisition to process of invoice)
Processes of all timely invoices accordingly
Creates New Suppliers Registration Forms and obtains approval
Monitors companyβs regular suppliers
Being the point of contact for suppliers with regards to payments
Prepares quotations, orders and files with regards to Technical & Marine matters
Prepare and follows up of pre-payments
Ensures implementation of the SMS in the area of the responsibilities
Requirements:
Degree in Shipping, Business, Finance and/or other relevant subject
Minimum 2+ years office experience, preferably in a purchasing department
Team player
Ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to meet deadlines
Good organisational skills
Strong computer literacy
Salary:
1100 EUR β 1500 EUR gross per month (X13)
