Role Overview:
The E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in online content management, seeking online marketing opportunities and maximizing direct sales. To ensure the constant update of new technologies and strategies so as to guarantee that the hotel remains at the forefront of online business. Provide analytics to track performance of web performance identifying areas of opportunity.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Excellent knowledge of room rates, layout and physical attributes, breakdown/configuration, benefits and amenities.
- To track traffic and sales performance throughout the website amending where necessary in order to increase sales (accommodation, food & beverage and weddings).
- To optimize sales and customer interaction via the hotel’s website and/or social media.
- Manage and optimize Ecommerce Annual budget.
- Vendor Management for all third-party partners; website updates, SEO/SEM/Metasearch management and GDS advertising.
- Manage OTA relationships ensuring optimal placement and identifying revenue generation opportunities based on seasonality.
- Be aware of Booked-out status and need periods to maximize sales opportunities.
- To oversee the accuracy of the web content. Loading, managing and marketing the hotel product on the official hotel website & on social media.
- To Identify, plan and action new sales opportunities, in cooperation with the hotel manager.
- Marketing promotions and activities development and execution.
- Creation of promotional material so as to attract potential guests via YouTube, blogs, social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin).
- Email Marketing & Campaigns.
- Using the extranet to create room types & descriptions, uploading rates, special offers, stop sales, minimum stay restrictions, etc.
- Sourcing cooperation with new Online Tour Operators & Websites
- Website Optimization.
- Monitoring rankings and positioning for all top keywords.
- Increase and drive traffic to the hotel website, increase awareness and sales through the online channel.
- Perform regular audits of the hotel’s webpage to ensure all links are working properly and the hotel special offers are current and available.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Graduate of a Hotel School or experience in relevant position in a 3, 4 or 5 star hotel.
- Fluency in English is a must. Any other languages such as Greek would be highly advantageous.
- Strong computer skills.
- Understanding of web design and web analysis.
- Must have very good IT skills: MS office, analytics (Google, Omniture/Mercado etc) with SEO, PPC, HTML, knowledge of industry standards and requirements (technical limitations, functionality, speed, etc).
