Job Description

For a growing accounting, audit and advisory firm in Nicosia we are looking for an Auditor who can communicate on a professional level to clients. Someone who will take initiative, someone who can do two things at the same time if necessary. Starting date: as soon as possible

Responsibilities:

Performing audits of local and international clients and preparing complete audit files for review

Submission of tax returns for companies and individuals 

Support the accounts department in keeping timely and accurate accounting records for client companies

Support the accounts department in completing and submitting VAT, VIES and INTRASTAT returns

Collecting, maintaining and updating client KYC documentation

Preparing payroll calculations and submitting employer's tax returns

Support the tax department in compiling the necessary documentation for obtaining tax certificates

Requirements:

Excellent command of the Greek and English languages - both written and spoken

Ability to communicate accurately and professionally

Excellent knowledge of CaseWare including Audit International 

Solid knowledge in accounting and IFRSs

Five years audit experience

Solid knowledge of personal and corporate tax rules and VAT

Initiative and critical thinking

Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills

Ability to comprehend and record complex transactions by applying professional judgement 

Ability to work alone with minimal guidance and supervision, as well as within a team supervising junior staff

Ability to work under pressure, handling various tasks simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines  Ability to keep up-to-date with changing legislation

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office 

Full and clean driving license. You may be required to travel using your own car and will be reimbursed according to company policy

Flexible working hours with Friday afternoons off

Salary of up to 24K Euros gross (twelve salaries), based on skills and experience
