CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of complex and specialized software and hardware solutions, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Software Developer to join their expanding team in Nicosia. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- API & Component design and implementation.
- Define network communication and proprietary protocols.
- Take leadership of SW projects and mentor Junior Developers.
- Gather SW product requirements and help design and develop effective, scalable software solutions.
- Integrate third party SW into our product and evaluate and improve suppliers offering.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Educated to Degree level in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge and experience with object – oriented programming.
- At least 4+ years’ experience in C++ software development.
- Cross-platform development knowledge and experience.
- Multi-threaded/ multi process development knowledge and experience.
- Understanding of network protocols will be considered a significant advantage.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Any experience in Java Platform, Enterprise Edition will be considered a plus.
- Deep understanding of either Linux, or Windows OS.
- Database design knowledge/experience would be highly beneficial.
- Mobile telecommunication experience a plus.
- Scripting (Python/Perl/Bash) experience ideal, but not essential.
- Native/Web UI development experience.
- any understanding of cryptography would be considered an advantage.
