Our client, a well-known group of companies who offer services across five inter-connected industries: Maritime, Business, Travel, Property and Environment, is looking to hire a Bookkeeper at their offices in Limassol.
Objective:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for the bookkeeping activities of the organization. She/he is expected to provide support for payments, travel expenses; input expense report data; and ensure that the company staff timesheets are accurate and submitted on time; and to assist in the update and improvement of these systems, based on experience and best practices.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
Recording of journal entries into the accounting system on a daily basis - customer invoices, payments, expenses
Issuing Invoices, Recharge Expenses, Processing Payments, Posting Intercompany transactions, raising Po's and placing orders.
Reconciliation Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Banks, P/cash, Intercompany accounts (multicurrency)
Extracting the data from the system-Split and record salesmen commissions
Assist in the preparation of budgets
Posting month end entries in line to IFRS
Preparation of VAT returns and filing the returns in TAXISNET
Liaising with auditors, filing, processing requests promptly and handling the overall administration of the office
Process payments and assist with all financial transactions.
Maintain books including bank statements, transactions, and all receipts.
Help to manage and resolve billing disputes and collections.
Preparation of Cost of Sales adjustments, Management Accounting Entries
Preparation and submission of VIES on a monthly basis
Reading contracts and updating the information prior billing at all times
Reconciliation of the Current Assets and Liabilities of the Company
Requirements:
University Degree in Accounting and Finance or other relevant field
Minimum 3 years experience in Accounting/Finance department
Very good command of both verbal and written Greek and English language
Strong communication skills
Enthusiastic, able to adapt to new and challenging projects
Basic understanding of VAT, tax and social insurance legislation
Experience with Esoft accounting system or Freight+ software system will be considered as advantage
