Job Description

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ most well-known and respected Telecommunications Providers with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Drive Testing & Site Acquisition Engineer to join their expanding team of professionals. The successful applicant will ideally possess 2+ years’ experience in Mobile Radio Networks.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
 

  • Propose expansions of the radio network coverage via suitable tools and/or measurements.
  • Responsible for the company’s coverage tool platform to ultimately produce coverage predictions for all services provided by the company, both on local and a national scale.
  • Liaises and negotiates with local authorities, sites landlords, external contractors on new site acquisition and sites legalization processes.
  • Plans new radio sites structural setup.
  • Plans the hardware configuration of the radio stations.
  • Evaluates the quality of the radio network coverage through surveys and drive tests and suggests optimization actions.
  • Represents the company at meetings and surveys with the Department of Electronic Communications.
  • Monitors EMF measurements of new and existing radio sites and assures alignment with the standards and requirements of set by the Department of Electronic Communications.
  • Maintains the database of the company radio network between the company and the Department of Communications.

 
Key Skills/Experience:
 

  • University degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Master preferably in Telecommunications or Networks.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Mobile Radio Networks.
  • Good knowledge of mobile network concepts, architectures and communication flows.
  • Capability to generate and analyse measurement reports.
  • Fluent written and spoken Greek and English.
