Our client, a group of Companies (fiduciary / accounting / Fund Management) based in Limassol, is looking to hire a motivated individual in the role of Legal Consultant.
Responsibilities:
Provision of support, professional legal advice, and guidance to all the members of the group of companies as well as the management in relation to various matters, including but not limited to corporate, real estate, investment, and compliance
Drafting and reviewing of various types of documents, including corporate documents(e.g. articles of association, memorandum of association, minutes and resolutions), contracts, documents in relation to trusts, responsible for handling difficult transactions
Provision of legal advice to the clients of the fiduciary with regards to their transactions
Preparation of legal opinions in relation to corporate matters
Reading the different legislation affecting the group of companies and provision of guidance and advice in relation to them to the management
Drafting of court applications and presenting before the district courts in relation to corporate matters (e.g. reduction of share capital and/or share premium, late allotment of share, late registration of charges, amendments to a company's memorandum)
Provision of advice in relation to intellectual property matters, registration of trademarks domestically and internationally
Dealing with employment matters which may arise from time to time in relation to the employees of the group
Undertake other duties addressed to the legal department
Qualifications:
Fluency in both Greek and English
Bachelor's Degree (BSc) from a reputable University in Law (minimum 2.1 or equivalent)
Very good knowledge of corporate legislation and minimum 2 years of post-qualification relevant experience
Knowledge of the AML legislation, intellectual property legislation, employment legislation
Knowledge of Cyprus International Trusts legislation
Advanced drafting skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, ambitious and a team player
Member of the Cyprus Bar Association (or being able to be a member of the Cyprus Bar Association)
LLM or LPC will be considered an advantage
CySEC Advanced Certificate and/or CySEC AML Certificate will be considered an advantage
GDPR knowledge will be considered an advantage
The working hours are 8:15 am to 13:00 and from 14:30till 17:45 - the employee can choose one day each week and such day can have only half an hour break and leave at 15:15.
