CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Investment Firm with regional offices in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Global Head of Finance to join their team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will be a full member of either the ACCA/ACA/CPA and possess a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience leading a Finance Team.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- To be overall responsible of all Finance related items for the The Group.
- To manage and develop the Finance team on a day-to-day basis.
- To allocate tasks to relevant individuals with in the Team.
- Ensure that there is a strong control environment within the Finance Team and in the Company.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures as deemed appropriate.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Ensure that all costs are allocated out appropriately, in order to be able to assess profitability of regions appropriately.
- Determine content and assemble data in order to prepare monthly reports for review by Management
- Management of petty cash transactions.
- Conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on business initiative.
- Review of bank, PSP and broker reconciliations.
- Prepare budgets every 6 months for the group to present to management with findings and recommendations.
- Liaising with the auditors for all the entities to ensure that time frames are agreed, information is supplied timely to auditors and that the audit is completed without significant adjustments. Managing the entire audit process.
- Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
- Preparation of financial reports, and management information reports.
- Track expenses as they relate to specific projects and jobs.
- Work with colleagues to ensure that Finance is able to provide service as desired internally.
- To ensure accounts are in line with IFRS.
- To ensure tax dues / VAT matters are dealt with on a timely basis.
- To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the regulatory authorities such as – IFSC, CMA, CySEC and others that may arise.
- Ensure there are efficiencies within the department.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Qualified Accountant.
- 5+ years of experience of heading up a Finance team.
- Experience in multiple jurisdictions will be advantageous: Belize, Cyprus, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa, Kenya.
- Experience of regulatory reporting.
- Experience of Tax reporting.
- Experience of managing a team.
- Experience of working with senior personnel in an organization.
- Experience of IFRS and implementing them in a Group.
- Strong Accounting & Analytical Skills.
- Good leader.
- Communication skills - verbal and written in English.
- In-depth understanding of cash flow management and accounting.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good Reporting Skills and Deadline-Oriented.
- Adaptability, able to apply knowledge to various scenarios.
