Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of online foreign exchange (forex) trading, CFD trading and spread betting and they are looking for a Compliance Associate to join their team based in Nicosia.

As a Compliance Associate, you will be responsible for conducting the day-to-day operations and activities of the company's Central Compliance team in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and internal standards. 

Responsibilities:

Review and approve marketing materials (advertising campaigns, website content, email marketing, social media campaigns, affiliates) and client communication and ensure they comply with global regulatory requirements

Review and assess compliance incidents and breaches and provide timely escalations to Management, where necessary

Prepare internal (e.g. Management information/compliance incidents) and external (e.g. regulatory submissions) reports

Perform various tasks that fulfill the company's obligations imposed by regulatory authorities or internal standards

Provide timely guidance and advice to business stakeholders

Support the overall team function, including special projects, as assigned

Perform other assignments and tasks as assigned by Management

Requirements:

Relevant University degree

Relevant Compliance Experience is preferred; 

Knowledge of FCA Rules and other relevant financial legislation is preferred

Highly developed written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; 

Excellent organizational and time managements skills;

Must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-performance expectations environment; 

Must be Independent and self-motivated;

Must be analytical with the capability to evaluate business objectives in line with regulatory requirements and come up with effective solutions; 

Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellent written and spoken English skills
