A Blockchain Company in Limassol is looking for an experienced Art Director to take control of the art department, guiding an extremely talented team of designers who are known for exceptional creativity. The ideal art director will bring a mix of artistic, marketing, and business expertise to the position, promoting our company. We are looking for an experienced manager, who can inspire and be inspired by others to take our creative efforts to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for design and a passion for delivering dynamic ideas that connect with any audience.
You will report to our Creative Director and work on the Design Team within the Brand & Customer Experience Team to design and develop engaging media for a variety of needs. The goal with this role is to help our Communications, Brand, and Marketing team members effectively story tell and convert consumers through appealing visual aids. We're looking for a talented designer with a proven background in Graphic design, animation, video, presentation and the like to bring the visual design to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Produces art layouts by developing art concepts and providing work direction to staff.
Trains, assigns, schedules, and coaches employees.
Meets art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
Resolves operational problems.
Identifies work process improvements.
Meets art department cost standards by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving actions, while meeting tight deadlines.
Formulates art concepts by supervising workers engaged in executing layout designs for artwork and copy to be presented by visual communications media.
Keeps company informed by reviewing illustrative material for presentation.
Reviews project production factors by studying budget, background information, objectives, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques.
Selects and secures illustrative material by formulating basic layout design concepts and conducting research.
Produces layouts for campaigns by marking-up, pasting-up, and finishing layouts.
Obtains approval by presenting final layouts, storyboards, and illustrations; and responds to client commentary and requests.
Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
Enhances art department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
Support the vision of the organization to help fulfill short and long term goals
Requirements:
Master's degree or PhD in art-related field may be preferred for some positions
1-5 years of experience in an art-related field or more, depending on the size of the organization
Ability to communicate across levels of an organization, including with executives and other senior-level officers
Comfort liaising with community and business leaders to arrange and promote projects
A strong understanding of modern graphic design software, including products such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro
Knowledge of web design oriented apps (Figma/Adobe XD)
Solid knowledge of Adobe Suite apps for graphics design and video editing
Knowledge in any other animation software will be considered as a plus ( 3ds Max, Maya, LightWave, Softimage and Cinema 4D).
Proven leadership skills and a talent for providing effective feedback and direction
Comfort using computer operating systems, including Microsoft Office and MacOS, as well as common productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
Notably creative with a desire to merge knowledge and experience with business and art
EU-citizenship
The company has taken on a remote working environment with the option to work from the office should they need to. Due to this the vacancy is open to candidates close to our time zone: EU, Israel, Dubai etc. In case you are not located in Cyrus you may from time to time be called to visit their offices.
