Advance Career Ltd, on behalf of our client, a ship management company is seeking to recruit a Fleet Personnel Officer (FPO) ;
Responsibilities:
Responsible for a group of vessels assigned
Handling of the general day to day correspondence with vessels, customers and agents
Screens crew candidates
Liaise with manning agents on crew selection and recruitment
Maintain the personnel records in the crewing software monitor performance of seafarers, repatriation, dismissals, and promotions
Issues seafarers employment contracts
Make the travel arrangements for the crew
Apply / monitor flag state documents
Cost control and budgets for the vessels assigned
Observe and follow the organization’s quality manual
Works closely and reports to the Fleet Personnel manager
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and high sense of responsibility
Good leadership, communications and controlling skills
Able to work under pressure, take initiatives and meet demanding requirements
Commitment to work irregular hours and willingness to travel
Excellent command of the English language
Computer literate and good knowledge MS Office Excel
Relevant working experience of at least two years in a similar position
Willingness to continuously update and develop professional knowledge
University / college degree in relevant field is an advantage
