The client
Our client, a long standing and well-established group of Companies, is seeking to recruit a person that will head the group’s finance function.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the group. Main responsibilities include:
• Work closely with the group’s Senior Management on the development of the financial strategy formulating the group’s future direction
• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and submission of management accounts and statutory consolidated financial statements
• Oversee the production of all relevant reporting required by Banks and Senior Management
• Ensure adherence to financial controls introducing and implementing changes to procedures where needed. Perform cost reviews, devise and implement changes to control costs
• Oversee the preparation and management of the budgeting process as well as of the re-forecasting and other planning processes
• Ensure that legal requirements for Tax and VAT are met
• Maintain relations and cooperate with external associates such as auditors, banks
• Collaborate internally with other departmental Heads
• Liaise, manage and develop accounting teams


Profile of the ideal candidate
• Member of a Professional Accounting Body (ACA, ACCA, CPA)
• 10-15 years of relevant experience including solid experience in a senior management role
• Experience in the construction industry will be considered an advantage
• Solid prior exposure with and high levels of competence in financial analysis
• Strong business acumen
• Dynamic with an ability to take initiative, solve problems and deliver results
• Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
• Fluency in English and Greek
• Computer literate
