Currently BKMS is looking to hire a professional for an International based client that is going to establish its operations in Cyprus. The position is full time, based in Nicosia with the following requirements:
Mission
The project engineer assures and covers every aspect of the planned project. He or she will be all-round responsible for every commercial, technical and financial matter. He or she will intervene as soon as the client reacts to an offer by elaborating an appropriate answer. He or she will negotiate and finalize contracts, coordinate the implementation of the project until the final delivery to the client while ensuring the fulfilment of the undertaken commitments.
Tasks
The project engineer will be involved in all the projects related to technical engineering activities. According to the client structure, the role of the project engineer can either resemble that of a sales engineer (Business development and commercial monitoring of the project) or that of a project manager (elaboration of the technical development and technical supervision of the project). He or she can function as the single point of contact for a large client ("key account").
Activities
The project engineer studies the customer’s needs and may, in coordination with the client and at his request, prepare feasibility studies and technical specifications for the project. According to the client’s technical-, financial-, and legal Structure, he or she determines the appropriate technical solutions and develops a commercial business proposal as well as negotiates and concludes the contract with the client.
He or she monitors the implementation of the project, possibly in collaboration with a project manager, contributes to the setting of timetables, coordinates any subcontractors, verifies the implementation of all the procedures related to validation, qualification, integration and launching of the project.
The project engineer ensures the compliance with deadlines, budget and regulations, monitors and implements changes in the project and negotiates potential litigation.
Relational environment
The project engineer reports either to the technical or commercial department of the company. He or she may work in cooperation with one or more sales engineers and be in constant contact with the technical department regarding the evolution of the project. The Project engineer may have to join negotiations with high-levelled contacts.
Performance Criteria
The Performance is evaluated by the ability of the project engineer to conclude commercial agreements and to comply with the project commitments. A variable part of his salary might depend upon the implementation of the various projects.
Working Conditions
Frequent contact with clients, and consistently meeting deadlines while implementing the projects. High availability and mobility are required.
Specific knowledge
· -B.Sc. or equivalent degree in IT / electronic communications with project management specialization.
-Postgraduate qualifications are not required but will be considered as an advantage.
-Fluent in English (understanding, speaking and writing).
-French will be considered as an advantage.
-Expertise working on a team with motivated cross-functional individuals focused on a common goal of delivering cutting edge solutions to meet aggressive business demands in an ever-changing environment.
-Good understanding of global telecom / IT solutions industry and sound knowledge of the market trend

Experience
The project engineer must be an experienced engineer who has already implemented similar projects in the past, however limited experience is required in case that he will work with an experienced sales engineer.
