We are now looking for a Head of IT/CTO to join our team based in Limassol, Cyprus.

Job description:

• Responsible for the company’s technology strategy
• Working closely with the company’s management, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s services as a web-based business, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success
• Development of new products and maintenance of existing codebas
• Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company’s services
•  Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services
• Collaborate with the appropriate departments to assess and recommend technologies that support company organizational needs
• Develop and execute of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers

• University degree in Computer Science /Software engineering or related field
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated ability to envision web-based services that meet consumer needs or solve business problems.
• 5-7 years’ experience managing web application development.
• Previous experience with startup companies will be considered an advantage
• Hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular web application framework.
• Excellent knowledge of HTML, PHP, SQL, and message oriented architectures
• Previous experience working with Javascript stack and Node JS based micro services connected with a RabbitMQ message bus
