On behalf of our client, a company involved in the trade and transportation of petroleum products, we are seeking to recruit a Price Risk Manager for their expanding operations in Limassol. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understand physical business and associated risks
- Understand the various flow the company has, some regular, some occasional
- Understand the pricing mechanism of each contract and its market risk associated
- Communicate regularly with physical traders
- Define best possible hedge with available derivatives
- Define which hedges are necessary to maintain a policy of “no speculation”
- Identify and quantify risk that remain unhedged
- Understand best execution for defined hedges
- Follow market conditions
- Follow market behavior on general and specific products
- Summarize market moves and consequences
- Develop and maintain good relationship with brokers
- Develop relationship with brokers to offer several sources for hedging needs
- Gain understanding of execution practice
- Report result of trading activity
- Report activity at the end of each day
- Reconcile deals on a daily basis
- Help confirm margin calculation if needed
- Other reconciliation such as fees, averages
Key Skills/Experience:
- 2-3 years previous experience in a financial field
- Experience in financial derivatives instruments such as future and swaps
- Familiarity with Mark-to-Market concept
- Strong excel knowledge and experience with some business software
- Degree in Finance, or Science
- Excellent communication with Superiors and Peers
- Excellent analytical skills
- Capable of learning new concept and methods
- Good team player
- Total fluency in English is essential
