Our client, a CySec Licensed Investment Firm, is looking to hire an Oracle DBA to expand their fast growing team in Limassol.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- -Designing and managing database systems (predominantly Oracle) for stability, performance and security, incl. installations, troubleshooting, recovery, migrations, tuning and resource utilization
- -Assisting development staff with application design and efficient use of database systems
- -Following and defining policies and procedures that ensure the security, optimization and integrity of database environments
- -Planning and implementing disaster recovery procedures for all assigned database resources
- -Sustaining data integrity, managing backup procedures and performing recovery testing
- -Designing and recommending system modifications to cope with predicted changes in company requirements (capacity planning)
You must meet the following criteria:
- -Minimum of 4 years of Oracle Database Administration experience
- -BSc/MSc in Database Administration or a related field (i.e. Computer Science or Engineering)
- -Strong understanding of Oracle internals and security requirements
- -Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, upgrade and management of Oracle databases
- -Experience with performance tuning and optimization
- -Strong knowledge and understanding of RMAN, Data Guard and Oracle RAC
- -Experience with Linux and programming languages such as Java and C++
- -Experience with MySQL, Sybase, PL/SQL and database firewalls is a plus
- -Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
