A regulated company specialized in the Financial Markets with a global presence is looking for an IT Support Specialist for English desk in Limassol.
Description
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining a variety of technology systems and equipment. Â The primary function of this position is to provide support to end users as well. In addition, the IT Support Specialist provides immediate solutions when possible, furnishes feedback to the end user. The purchasing, configuration and programming of replacement PC equipment and software is also required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Â
- Install, troubleshoot and repair computer hardware, (PCs, network equipment, etc.) and software.
- Load software packages such as Windows OS, Microsoft Office and any other pre- approved applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software conflicts and make repairs or adjustments as necessary.
- Instruct and assist users in use of computer equipment, software and manuals.
- Assists in evaluating and testing new technologies for feasibility and implementation within the organization
- Work with System Admin group/representative regarding the support of LAN equipment, such as switches, routers, etc.
- Maintain and configure shared network printers and personal printers.
- Maintains all support work orders in the current helpdesk ticketing system
- May participate in after-hours support via cell phone to adhere to agree upon end user support service levels.
- Making sure that there is available stocks in case of replacement requirements.Â
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Â
- Strong experience and working knowledge of current Windows Operating Systems.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Terminal servers
- Technical knowledge on Office 365, Outlook and basic mailing systems
- Basic technical knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, with a basic understanding of VoIP concepts.
- Knowledge of development and maintenance of LANâs.
- Strong problem solving and maintaining an organised work area.
- Ability to create accurate, detailed documentation and present the information to a non-technical audience is required.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and background.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- BSc/MSc degree in a computer related field â advantage depending on experience
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both as an individual contributor and as a team member. Â
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness and ability to travel if required
