Job Description

The role:

We are currently looking for a talented Program Management Office Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible to manage technology projects, ensuring timely and on budget project execution, with qualitative deliverables, according to the scope of work of each project.

Responsibilities: 

  • Being responsible for the coordination of small to large technical related projects.

  • Works with the teams to establish project objectives, scopes, immediate priorities, timelines, etc.

  • Communicates with the teams and various stakeholders on work progress, risks (as well as avoiding/mitigating/transferring of those risks), and solutions.

  • Ensures that meetings are scheduled, timely, and goal-oriented.

  • Prepares project status reports.

  • Sets up processes to support project teams using project management best practices.

  • Identifies project stakeholders and defines project governance.

  • Analyses the project cycle and defines the various milestones per cycle.

  • Monitors and controls project execution and progress.

  • Aligns all stakeholders as per the project time-plan.

  • Manages resources efficiently and identifies possible threats timely and consistently.

  • Manages project communication through regular meetings and executive reports.

  • Manages project risks.

  • Ensures quality in the projects’ deliverables.

  • Coordinates with Procurement for the timely purchase of goods or services, as needed for the successful project implementation.

Required Qualifications

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, preferably with a specialisation in Telecommunications or Networks.

  • PMP certification or equivalent will be considered as an advantage.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a telecom service provider, with proven records of successful project implementation either as a project manager or stakeholder

  • Good knowledge of mobile and fixed network concepts, architectures and communication flows.

  • Good knowledge of 2G/3G/4G technologies.

  • Good knowledge of IT systems (routers, servers, switches etc).

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project.

  • Fluent written and spoken English
