CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a global Insurance company with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit 2 x Junior Finance Analysts to join their expanding team of professionals.
Role Overview:
The Junior Finance Analyst is responsible for collection, organization, interpretation, analysis, recording, documentation and dissemination of complex data sets. The candidate will process and reconcile accounts receivable, payables and general ledger related transactions with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, customer service and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial analysis and investigate unusual variances using MI, TM1, IRIS, etc. This includes non-routine analysis / ad-hoc requests with tight deadlines.
- Assist in quarter close process and annual audit.
- Perform calculation check / reconciliation checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of key financial reports. This includes consistency checks within the reports and against other reports.
- Perform financial reconciliation and generate key reports.
- Perform daily validation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Skills/Experience:
- BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Management, Finance or Statistics.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the Accounting/Finance field.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, & disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work unsupervised, work on tight deadlines, pro-active and team player.
- Ability to work on ad-hoc request / non-routine financial analysis and reporting within a tight deadlines environment.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, etc.).
- Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (TM1 / FRx) and accounting systems (Great Plains, Concur, etc.) will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of and experience with SSP system and insurance experience is a positive but not essential.
