CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a global Insurance company with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Ceded Reinsurance Technician to join their expanding team of professionals.
Role Overview:
To provide support in Ceded Reinsurance of our clients’ European operations. The successful candidate will be working on Facultative and Treaty Placement and the preparation and rendering of Quota Share account statements.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Record facultative and treaty placement details in IRIS and REBA.
- Proportional Reinsurance - Prepare and render Quota Share account statements.
- Maintain Quota Share Statement and Excess of Loss Adjustment Logs.
- Credit Control and Cash Application – tie payments and cash movements in Access, liaising with Credit Control team in Cyprus.
- Set up payments.
- Assist in the data analysis as part of Reinsurance Submission process.
- Clearly document all procedures in an easy to follow process guide.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- BSc in Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Information Management or Statistics.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar position is essential.
- Strong excel skills.
- Ability to work with data in a manual environment.
- Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines/targets.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on their own and use their initiative.
- Previous experience in Ceded Reinsurance or Insurance Accounting is preferable.
