CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a very well-established and respected provider of Logistics solutions, we are seeking to recruit an experience and well-qualified Distribution Officer for their offices in Nicosia.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure profitability of the distribution activities, by operating in the most cost efficient and service-oriented manner.
- Helping to monitor performance of drivers.
- Ensure support for further growth by projecting requirements and equipment.
- Assist in the formulation of the pricing policy for hauliers, drivers and agencies and handle negotiations.
- Identify cooperation partners and establish relevant contracts with them.
- Provide full support to the Customer Service and Operations departments of the company.
- Ensure availability and relevant skills and expertise qualification of the distribution team.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the cross docking department.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Educated to degree level in Business, Management or related field.
- A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar position is essential.
- Previous experience in the Logistics and/or Haulage industry is a must.
- Excellent knowledge of the Cyprus road network and infrastructure.
- Fluency in Greek & English (Written & Spoken) is essential.
- Strong PC Skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
