A Global Company based in Cyprus is looking to recruit a passionate and self-motivated in-house Junior Compliance Officer- Legal Advisor to join its dynamic team in Limassol. This is an amazing career opportunity for an individual interested in working with a global company that is continually expanding its activities. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years post legal qualification experience in dealing with CySEC regulations, Corporate and Employment Law.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work side by side with the External Compliance Consultants;
- Developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Company’s Compliance Management Program with assistance of experienced staff;
- Assist in the drafting of relevant compliance policies and procedures;
- Monitoring and advising on ongoing transactions and/ or other projects from a legal perspective according to the laws of the Republic of Cyprus;
- Managing day-to-day operations of the legal and corporate department;
- Providing guidance on corporate law and regulatory matters and performing legal research for these matters;
- Other legal work and any other duties assigned
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in law - must
- Experience 2+ years as a corporate lawyer in a law firm
- Previous experience the Forex industry or other CySEC regulated company within a compliance role - must
- Good knowledge and experience in dealing with CySec regulations
- Excellent communication skills (Fluency in Greek and English are essential)
- Membership of the Cyprus Bar Association will be considered an advantage
- Professional and trust worthy individual
- CySEC Basic or Advanced Examination will be considered as advantage
