Our client is one of the leaders in telecommunication industry in Cyprus. The company is currently seeking for a successful candidate that will join their large team in the position of a Senior Network Engineer, based in Limassol.

Key objectives of the role and responsibilities:
- Provide top-tier level support on the fixed core backbone as part of the Network Engineering team;
- Maintain and operate fiber/copper/wireless Ethernet & IP networks to an operationally viable state;
- Configure routers, switches and other networking devices;
- Design core and customer’s network solutions;
- Evaluate new networking technologies in lab;
- Provide stand-by support for critical network issues.
Required experience and main characteristics of our preferred candidate:
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science;
- Experience of 2 years in Networking within a Telecom/ISP/Large enterprise, or CCNP or similar certification;
- Excellent knowledge of OSPF, BGP routing protocols;
- Solid understanding of broadband technologies (PPPoE, L2TP);
- Experience with VPN (GRE/IPSEC);
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of the Greek language will be considered as an advantage;
- Excellent knowledge of Quality of Services (QoS);
- Solid understanding of MPLS in operator environment;
- Experience in Unix based systems (especially Linux);
- Knowledge of DWDM, OTN, SDH technologies is a plus.
