We are happy to announce a current opening for a Bioinformatics Scientist – Postdoctoral Researcher, based in Cyprus and thrilled to add in the team another enthusiastic individual that will contribute significantly to the development, research and delivery of the company cores.

Key objectives of the role and responsibilities:
- Work within a fast-growing team to provide bioinformatics support, services and new solutions on the market;
- Mainly perform exploratory and routine bioinformatics analyses as a service to clients;
- Contribute in developing novel analytic techniques to better address the scientific gaps as new products and services, identify and pursue opportunities for new collaborations and research funding.
Required experience and main characteristics of our preferred candidate:
- D. degree or 5 years’ experience in research oriented position in bioinformatics, statistical modelling or related scientific field;
- Experienced in writing high impact scientific publications (please provide a sample as reference);
- Strong scripting and programming abilities;
- Fluent in English;
- Experience with molecular level data;
- Able to develop and deploy bioinformatics analytical pipelines in well-established software such as R or SAS.;
- Experienced in project management;
- Skilled in experimental design and analyses of clinical trials or large epidemiological studies;
- Knowledgeable and experienced in securing research funding;
- Experienced with de-novo alignment of genetic, or transcriptome data;
- Capable of working with cloud computing (e.g. Amazon AWS) and version control, and past development activity in the open source community;
- Varied educational or industry experiences, enabling the development of new approaches to difficult problems.
