The School of Business at the University of Nicosia invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the field of Management beginning in the Fall semester of 2018.

The University of Nicosia (UNIC), the largest university in Cyprus and the largest English language university in southern Europe, with over 11,500 students, is a comprehensive research university with 6 Schools, 18 Departments and over 100 degree programs. It has particular strengths in medicine (where it offers a medical degree in collaboration with St. George’s, University of London), law, accounting, international relations and blockchain technology/cryptocurrency.

The Management program is one of the oldest programs at the institution and has tremendous development potential across the Mediterranean. UNIC is seeking faculty who have capabilities and interest in working for a dynamic, internationally-oriented, technology-oriented university focused on preparing students, industry, government and society for the rapidly evolving opportunities and challenges of the 4th industrial revolution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have a PhD degree and strong publication record in the relevant research area. The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research. More specifically, required qualifications include:
PhD in Management or a closely related field
Strong record of scientific publications
Evidence of effective teaching
The following will be considered a plus:
Industry experience/consultancy
Experience with EU-funded research
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, new program development, carrying out research work, applying for research grants, participating in international conferences and publishing in academic journals, supervising student theses and undertaking administrative work in the Department and School.
