CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a newly established and regulated Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a well-qualified and highly capable Chief Financial Officer to join their expanding team of professionals.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Continually optimize and implement the financial structure and flow of funds between the group of partnering businesses possessing common market interests.
- Be fully in charge of financial / budget planning and the Cash Flow of the Company, so as to ensure its financial stability and compliance with both its short and long-term commercial goals.
- Regularly analyses current financial structure and flow of funds between the partnering businesses; comes up with the decisions / proposals aimed at improving those; implements the amendments and evaluates the effects of optimization.
- On a day-by-day basis analyse the actual and planned cash flow of the Company, including both incoming and outgoing payments; evaluates the Company’s cash needs and takes necessary measures to prevent cash gaps; makes sure the company’s financial needs and interests are met continuously.
- Designs and implements the Financial Planning / Budgeting procedure across the Company.
- Creates and regularly optimizes the logic and structure of plans / budgets, financial statements and other data required by the Company’s management for internal (managerial) use; takes part in making managerial decisions based on these data.
- Controls the overall compliance with the budget limitations and requirements.
- Makes sure all due financial data / documents are produced by reporting departments, or received from the corresponding counterparties, in a timely manner. Collects and structures primary data, prepares and submits authorized financial statements both for internal (managerial) use and according to the requirements of the government and other external agencies.
- Ensures positive business relations with the partnering banks.
- Accomplishes finance human resource strategies by determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counselling, disciplinary and communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation strategies.
Key Skills/Experience:
- High level of education in Financing/Accounting/Economics relevant to the position.
- ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified or equivalent.
- Profound and solid professional experience in the Industry, including financial management of a group of partnering businesses.
- Ability to monitor, understand and balance the incoming and outgoing cash flow of the company.
- Creative approach and proactivity in achieving the stated short- and long-term financial goals of the Company.
- Strong managerial skills, and ability to build / maintain relations with both peers and subordinates and work in a team.
- Analytical skills and common sense.
- Previous working experienced in the Shipping and/or Commodities industries would be highly beneficial.
- Fluent English
