CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a Group of Companies operating in the Commercial Real Estate Sector, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and capable candidate for the position of Facilities Manager to be based in Nicosia.
Role Overview:
- Report to the General Manager.
- Supervise a team of mechanics, electricians and engineers.
- Will be constantly involved and supervise the facility operations but MUST also be willing to assist in daily on site-hands on manual work, equipment maintenance, Health & Safety, security, waste disposal management, large scale cooling systems and building fabrics.
- Conduct building inspections, internal and external – Structure inspections, Electrical and Mechanical inspections in order to evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
- Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency.
- Establish and implement operational standards and procedures.
- Involved in multi contract and multi project based work.
- Investigate complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action.
- Project Planning.
- Assess incidents, complaints, etc (e.g. managing handover and day to day tenants of the facility).
Key Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s is a plus.
- Resident of Cyprus, preferably Nicosia Area.
- Cyprus or EU Citizen or alternatively holder of permit for living and working in Cyprus.
- Minimum 5 years previous working experience in a similar position (e.g. Team Leader).
- Must have previously worked in a large operation such as a hotel / factory / retail facility locally or abroad.
- Native or fluent English is essential for this role.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as and when needed.
- Motivated and enthusiastic personality willing to work and assist with any type of responsibility provided.
- Must portray a positive attitude and willing to assist in any type of work.
- Be able to multitask, work efficiently, work to close deadlines and handle challenging situations.
