CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established and rapidly expanding International company with diverse business interests including Information Technology and Real Estate, we are seeking to recruit a highly capable and experienced Senior Internal Legal Advisor to join their expanding team of professionals based in Nicosia. This is a position based in Cyprus, but with a global remit.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and provide advice in relation to contracts between the company and third parties to ensure the protection of the Company’s interest.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on matters of commercial and corporate law, intellectual property law, real estate (property) law, employment law and data protection law.
- Provide legal advice and assistance in relation to joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, registration of new companies in Cyprus and abroad.
- Provision of internal legal advice and opinions.
- Working with external legal counsels in several jurisdictions to obtain local and international advice when needed.
- Assistance with the management of corporate legal structures.
Key Skills/Experience:
- LLB plus BVC, LPC or LLM.
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association is an advantage, but not essential.
- Ideally 10+ years of Corporate & Commercial Law experience. Experience in the other areas of law indicated above will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in International law will be considered highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English are essential (Written & Spoken).
- Dynamic Personality with strong leadership skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel abroad as and when required to various global office locations.
