On behalf of our client, a well-established investment firm based in Limassol we are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for contributing effectively within the compliance team as well as to coordinate operational activities. Thus, effectively support any needs as directed by the Head of Compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • To work within the compliance team to effectively implement and assess compliance policy
  • To coordinate operational activities and maintain compliance with legal whilst identifying any compliance related issues
  • To assist in the preparation of the compliance reports to the Board of Directors and regulatory bodies.
  • Analyze regulatory developments, new compliance legislation and market developments and prepare proposals for management review
  • Enforce organization standards, policies and procedures
  • To assist in the preparation of new and/or update existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CySEC rules and regulations.
  • Research regulations by reviewing regulatory bulletins and market standards behavior.
  • Analyze compliance data to support relevant decision making
  • To monitor and conduct the KYC verification process for corporate clients and counterparties
  • Responsible for training and agreements of the organization’s employees, clients, 3rd parties thus ensuring compliance

  Requirements

  • Degree in Law/Business/Finance or any other relevant field
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position or any other relevant financial services firm
  • Experienced with MiFID framework
  • CySEC Advanced Legal Framework Certificate
  • Fluency in Greek and English is a must
  • Excellent skills in document and process formation
  • Additional languages will be considered advantageous
  • Strong self-starter personality with initiative and the ability to commence and conclude issues from start to finish
