Job Description

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client a well-established and highly respected company within the energy sector based in Larnaca we are seeking to recruit an Electrical Engineer for their expanding office.     Key Duties/Responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible to plan and direct new development and engineering projects according to the company’s objectives.
  • Perform research and industry analysis on energy projects.
  • Work independently or with minimal supervision to support in research efforts, ensuring consistency and quality of research methods.
  • Provide general commercial administrative support to the Commercial Department.
  • The role includes a range of duties including preparing reports, proposals, presentations, letters and other documents, dealing with correspondence and telephone calls, undertake projects as well as other tasks as required.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers.
  • The prospective candidate must have initiative, be self-motivated, highly organised, be discrete, able to work effectively under pressure individually and as a team.

 
Key Skills/Experience:
 

  • BSc and/or MSc in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years working experience as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience in project engineering and project management.
  • Education or experience in Renewable Energy Technologies (photovoltaics, wind, distributed generation, etc) will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages (both oral and written).
  • Fully developed IT skills, including a high level of proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, experience with AutoCAD & Electrical Simulation Programs and internet savvy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Technical Writing - Communicating effectively in writing and conveying complex information as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Good research skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines and ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to work on own initiative – A confident ‘self-starter’.
  • Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
