Job Description
Our client is a full service, rapidly expanding digital marketing agency. Their talented software engineer team develops customized digital solutions for local and international clients. We are looking on their behalf, for a Database Specialist to join their team. The Database Specialist will support and develop both new and existing medium to large-scale solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing new functionality and updating existing functionality
- Work closely with the software and web development teams
- Ensure code is fit for the purpose of the projects and is scalable
- Documenting processes in a detailed fashion
- Support team members
- Troubleshooting technical issues (bug fixes, database performance issued, failed loads, etc)
- Support account management for response to client queries
- Setting expectations and ensuring processes are adhered to
- Database query performance tuning
- Familiar with Database backup and recovery techniques
- Database system and infrastructure performance tuning
Requirements
- Educated to degree level in related subject (Computer Science, MIS or related field) or able to demonstrate significant relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of SQL Server, Data tools
- Demonstrable experience of working on complex projects.
- 3-5 years of testing experience in industry
- Good technical experience/background.
- Excellent command of Greek and English
- Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Skilled for effective working in a team environment
