Job Description

On behalf of our client, a company that is part of a group of companies that dominates in the sector of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages production and distribution abroad we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of HORECA Sales Promoter based in Nicosia. The company is the official and exclusive distributor of well-established international brands. The company, which is an FMCG company, is one of the largest in Cyprus that trades with alcoholic beverages.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales turnover and profit in the sales region for which is responsible by using efficiently the Company’s resources (equipment, sales promotion products and cash budgets)
  • Prepare and submit a weekly working plan to the Sales Manager
  • Prepare ahead of the next working day: changeover to working with a hand-held computer terminal in transit, review the sales report at customer level. Checking commitments to the customer, preparing credits, customer ledger adjustment etc.
  • Total familiarity with the trading terms and product packages according to segments
  • On-site visit at the points of sale according to a daily schedule
    • Customer’s warehouse – stock check in order to verify if the customer’s stock is short of a particular product, parallel check, check of competitive products that are not meant to be found within the customer’s stock, FIFO check, check of CO2 to gas cylinders
    • Refrigerators - locating unlisted merchandise, refrigerator operability and cleanliness, viability of the refrigerator at the point, where situated
    • Check on shelf products according to categories: beer, alcohol, wine, soft drinks, energy drinks, water. Emphasis in the check should be placed on: competitors on the shelf, proper pricing of our own products, competitors’ pricing, checking the shelf area according to category
    • Proper use of advertising accessories – POS, stands, shelf lines, shelf protectors
    • Initiating branding at the point of sale
  • Customer debt-collection and timespan, minimum compliance 90% collection
  • Increasing sales to the customer
  • Extending the range to the customer
  • Launching new customers
  • Updating superiors on ongoing topics on the ground and competitive activity (new products, new packaging, competitors’ sales promotion, sales campaigns, prices etc.)
  • Customer retention (arriving at the site as fixed systematically, readily available by telephone, punctual performance of commitments to the customer, handling customer problems in real time, updating the customer on market trends, being attentive to the customer’s needs
  • Initiating and visiting sales campaigns at the point

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position. Experience within the industry will be considered as an advantage
  • Proficiency in Greek and English language
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn fast and passionate for sales
  • Ability to work independent and within a team
  • Ability to find and communicate with new clients
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Willing to work with sales targets
  • Responsible and honest person
