Job Description

CareerFinders, on behalf of The Bank of Cyprus, one of the Island’s leading and most highly respected Banking Institutions, we are seeking to recruit a Security Identity and Access Engineer to join their expanding team of professionals based in Nicosia.

Role Overview:
 
Responsible to review, support and participate in the implementation of Information Security Policies and security recommendations of Auditors and Penetration & Vulnerability testers in order to improve the information security services of the Organization and correctly protect the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of the Information.
 
Key Duties/Responsibilties:
 

  • Review and analyse the security recommendations of Information Security, Group Internal Audit, external Auditors, Penetration & Vulnerability Testers and produce, coordinate and support remediation plans in cooperation with several teams in Information Technology in order to enhance the security of the Organization.
  • Investigate and resolve security threats from Firewall, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Antivirus, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Systems, phishing attacks, Network Access Control and other security threat data sources.
  • Collaborate with the Security Incident Response Team and support detection, incident analysis, containment, remediation and reporting of events/incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets.
  • Implement security and/or management tools and practices across infrastructure components and services, relevant to his/her area of responsibility.
  • Design and test recovery procedures for the components under his/her responsibility, and ensure that data and configurations are backed up based on the backup and recovery policy, including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity scenarios.
  • Ensure that logs of servers, systems, appliances, services and other components under his / her responsibility are recorded, maintained and analysed for problem resolution, capacity planning and other related activities.
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues relevant to his / her area of responsibility within the agreed SLAs.
  • Ensure that identity access is managed and controlled centrally for all systems and applications adhering to a Role Base Access Control model.
  • Identify, evaluate and resolve vulnerabilities, and apply the patching cycle in order to protect systems from security threats.
  • 1Maintain and support Cyber and Network Security hardware and software.
  • Apply Network Security Architecture in relation to Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DDoS, and any other cyber security relevant systems.

 
Key Skills/Experience:
 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, IT Infrastructure Management or related field.
  • Certifications on Cyber and Network Security will be considered an advantage.
  • 3 + years of experience in the field, preferably in the Banking industry.
  • Knowledge of IT and Information Security regulatory requirements for the Banking industry will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in Cyber Security architecture, Threat Management, Identity and Access Management, Security Incident and Event Management.
  • Significant knowledge of technologies, solutions and trends and deep interest in keeping up to date with technological developments.
  • Knowledge of Network Technologies, Network Layers and Protocols and Network Security concepts. 
  • Knowledge of security solutions such as:

Sandbox for zero day threat protection Systems
Anti-bot solutions
Security information and event management (SIEM) Systems
Antivirus Systems
Active Directory Group Policy / Authentication/Authorization / Application Whitelisting management.
Vulnerability Scanners
Endpoint Detection and Response Systems
Artificial Intelligence - Asset behaviour Systems
Web Application Firewalls
Host Intrusion Prevention Systems
Distributed Denial of Service Solutions
Remote Access VPN Solutions
Data Loss Prevention Systems
Identity Access & Privileged Access Management Systems
Centralized Auditing Software
Cloud Access Security Brokers

  • Expertise in developing and implementing technical standards and policies.
