On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an exceptional candidate for the Data Scientist position, to work for an Investment and Brokerage start-up company in Limassol.
Responsibilities:
- Researching and developing quantitative trading strategies across various asset classes (FX, Stocks, Commodities, Rates)
- Work very close with the Head of the desk to improve the infrastructure and automation of the desk across both the Brokerage and Portfolio Management businesses
- Automate flows for financial time series data storage and build Machine Learning models to extract edge from the market
- Build Machine Learning models for the analysis of proprietary data and optimisation of trading operations
- Development of asset allocation models and front office tools using Python and Tensorflow
The ideal candidate should possess the following hard skills:
- Masters degree (or at a minimum relevant certifications) from a top tier university (Computational Finance, Data Science & Machine Learning, Financial Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Maths are preferred)
- Bachelor degree from a top tier university (Maths, Software Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering are preferred)
- Software Engineering skills (of ideal candidate): Python, Tensorflow, Q/Kdb+, Working with APIs (FIX protocol is a plus), AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Serverless applications, Github
- Languages: Greek & English at a minimum. You are expected to speak very good English, as Finance is an English speaking field and you need to be able to communicate with counterparties and firms that are English speaking.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly both in writing and verbally
