•       Primary duties include:

•       Responsible for support and fault management of the corporate databases of the Airport; Coordinates incidents with AIA IT staff.

•       Establish and follow policies and procedures for database administration and problem solution.

•       Contribute in the creation and recommends updates of the IT&T Work Instructions for the corporate databases;

•       Participation in the back-up and recovery process of database servers

•       Contribute to the implementation of technical solutions for the upgrade and enhancements of database servers;

•       Plan, coordinate and administer database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, long range requirements, operational guidelines and protection.

•       Analyze complex queries tuning, statistics, and performance of subsystem, CPU, IO, and memory.

•       Analyze trending data and provide performance recommendations addressing specific application/system performance issues.

•       Allocate system storage and plans future storage requirements for the database system.

•       Ensure vigilant execution of business continuity and disaster recovery plan for the databases and applications.

•       Assist in database and application integration planning, technology consulting, product management, project engineering, and 3rd tier operational support.

•       Comply with the ITIL or equivalent and ISO 20000 governance model.

•       Evaluate and suggest new technologies and practices in the field of database management.

•       Monitor and validate daily backups of corporate databases

•       Design and program shell scripts for automation of several maintenance tasks

•       Install, update and test new versions of the DBMS

•       Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters

Secondary duties include:                    

•       Establish, follow policies and procedures for infrastructure management of Flight Information Display (FIDS) and Digital Signage Systems (DiSi).

•       Contribute in AIA’s Aviation department projects (CUTE, FIDS, DiSi).
