Interests
· In May 2005 I have established the Cypriot Society at Loughborough University Students Union by making all the proper arrangements and meetings as well as preparing all the necessary paper work (constitution, rules etc.). Unfortunately I could not be a member of the committee society since I was a Masters student.
· I have also organised three consecutive years (years 2003, 2004 and 2005) the stall for Cyprus for the International Day at Loughborough University. In 2003, the stall of Cyprus was within the 5 best stalls, out of more than 50 different countries.
· In April 2004 I took an extra course given by my University called Insight into Management. In this course I worked in teams on a number of case studies, business games and skills exercises run by well-known employers, alongside 70 other students and several recent graduates working in management roles for major employers.
· In September 1999 I participated in the Pancyprian Student Olympiad in Informatics. This was a voluntary government competition available to programming students in Cyprus.
· In June 1999 I became a member of the Cyprus Red Cross Society and have regularly donated blood since then.
· I was a member of Nicosia’s Shooting Centre where I have achieved as a highest distinguish the second place in the under-20 category.
· I was also a member of Nicosia’s Squash Centre where I have managed to achieve first place in two consecutive years. However when the time came for me to join Cyprus’ National Squash Team, I had to give up squash, as I had to join the army.
· In 1996 I took part in a football competition organised by the Bank of Cyprus. My team managed to come second even though professional academies were competing alongside us.
· Other interests:
o Training at the gym.
o Member of the International Student Association.
o Meeting people of other nationalities.
