• Responsible for integrating baseband standard algorithms 802.11(a,b,g) embedded in Atmel AT76C517 chip (802.11a/b/g Baseband Controller) solution with AT76C520 (Network Processor and MAC core) using Verilog and VHDL. Under this project:
1. Simulation was accomplished using Cadence tools (Ncverilog, Ncsim,Simvision) to evaluate the complete solution on both RTL and netlist levels.
2. A C program was written and compiled using ARM development tools to verify the functionality of both chips.
• Implemented ECC (Error Correction Code, e.g.) Hamming code) for a Network Processor in-house chip solution under development.
• Designed and implemented the Data Link Layer for a PCI Express standard based project.
• Integrated the 802.11b IP core (written in VHDL) into Atmel’s Chips AT76C504AL, AT76C505AL (wlan, Ethernet, spi), and revamped and streamlined test-benches for the specific IP core for testing at RTL level.
• Synthesized the above solution using Synopsis DC compiler and verified the functionality of whole IP at synthesized level. A C program was also written to check for the integrity of both chips.
